WHAT ARE TRANSPARENT HEATERS AND WHAT ARE THEY USED FOR?
In the North, the weather has gone from autumnal chill to winter freeze, the snow (and the temperature) has started to fall. While we can keep ourselves from freezing and becoming “inoperable” by warming ourselves by the fire, the equipment we use doesn’t usually have that kind of benefit. So, if our flat panel displays can’t get cozy by crackling Yule logs, how can our equipment be kept functional in the cold weather?

ThermoClare is Optical Filters’ range of high-performance glass transparent heaters, applicable across functionalities and environments.
High Optical Clarity, Functionality in Freezing Conditions
ThermoClare transparent heaters improve the cold-weather functionality of flat panel displays and enable rapid startup of displays to operating temperatures, even in sub-zero conditions. ThermoClare glass can also be used as anti-misting windows for cameras, sensors, and apertures. The heat produced prevents moisture and condensation. Like a toasty fire (but much more controlled) the warmth conducted by ThermoClare is
sufficient to both defrost a frozen screen for quick start-ups and maintain the temperature required for operation. The heat is distributed in an even manner across the display, ensuring the whole screen is clear—and because of ThermoClare’s high level of optical clarity, flat panel displays are easily readable, especially when compared to the highly reflective thin resistive wires usually used to heat equipment.
